Elastic Waistbands on Tour

Fellow writers and readers --

Here's a cool new thing I'll be rolling out next month.

It's the Elastic Waistbands Tour. I'll be visiting libraries, book clubs, and other sites and doing readings from my book, In Celebration of Elastic Waistbands.

And even better, I'll be recording these evenings of comedy. Then I'll compile the recordings to create the audio book version of my book.

It'll be fun and folks will get to hear their laughs and comments in the final version. Needless to say, with the audience interaction, it will be a longer version of the original book with a little extra conversation and humor thrown in.

I'm pretty excited. What do you think? Any suggestions? Ideas?

Photobombed by the Mayor

Great time last week speaking at the graduation ceremony for the Trainers Development Institute of East Baton Rouge City-Parish. Even though Mayor Holden insisted on photobombing me!

The Sneaux Chicken

During the snowfall in Central Louisiana, I had the opportunity to construct my beloved and "late" snow chicken. The experience was so special to me that I shared it in my March column in City Social Magazine. The link to the column on page 43 is below the photo.

Come visit me at the Louisiana Library Association Conference on Friday!

10:00 am -- Together with my writing buddy, Chere Coen, I'll be signing copies of my books. I might even write legibly for a change. Nah, let's not get carried away. But come visit, anyway!

I got an award!! Yay! Bribery finally paid off!

Mind if I brag for just a moment? The Global Knowledge Management Congress will present the Knowledge Management Leadership Award to me in June in Mumbai, India. I'm receiving it for my body of work on training, development, and knowledge management. KM sounds confusing, but it's really just recognizing that an organization's best information is in people's heads. KM is all about creating ways to share that knowledge. Yep, I'm a tad proud. Thanks for indulging me.
