The Joys of LIving in the South

In the South, we believe that you can say anything you want about anybody – no matter how awful it is – as long as you follow it with those all-important three little words.

No, those three words are not, “I love you.”

In the South, we use “Bless her heart!”

Much as I miss New Orleans, I don't miss people saying, "Well, bless your heart" to me. Because in addition to supposedly negating the negative things said immediately before, it also means, "I sure am glad I'm not you/her/him, honey!"

How's NaNoWriMo coming? November is always a busy month for me, and this year's no exception. I'll be lucky to squeeze out a short story.

Yeah, you right! (She says in her best New Orleans accent...)

NaNo? Well, it's been interesting. I wrote a bunch of new stuff to start the month and realized it all fit into the Elastic Waistbands book.

So I decided to listen to my muse.

I veered my efforts into final edits of In Celebration of Elastic Waistbands. It will be complete by November 30! Whoppppeeeee!!
